Description Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Psychometrist. Essential Job Responsibilities: · Administer standardized and non-standardized tests of cognitive functions. · Score all tests administered and prepare an accurate summary of scores and behavioral observations. · Maintain test equipment. · Order supplies, equipment and forms as needed. · Perform occasional administrative support tasks as needed. · Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education: · Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or other Behavioral Science. Other Requirements: · Prior experience with neuropsychological testing preferred. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job Performance Requirements: Knowledge: · Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Skills: · Excellent interpersonal skills including the capacity to evaluate and elicit cooperation from patients with cognitive, behavioral and psychiatric problems. Highly motivated, organized, and strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills interacting with the other professional and administrative staff. Excellent observational skills and the ability to record those observations. Abilities: Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures. Ability to project a pleasant and professional image. Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks. Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others. Equipment Operated: · Standard medical exam/office equipment, which may include computerized health information management system for medical records, etc. Work Environment: · Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. Well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space. Mental/Physical Requirements: · Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies. Occasional stress from dealing with many staff and patients.
Responsibilities
The Psychometrist will administer standardized and non-standardized tests of cognitive functions and prepare accurate summaries of scores and behavioral observations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining test equipment and performing occasional administrative support tasks as needed.
