Organization: PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation ALD Position Overview: Responsible for providing short-term outpatient individual and group therapy with adults and families. Provides comprehensive assessment and counseling support for mental, emotional, social, and behavioral issues that arise for patients in their primary care departments. Assists patients in learning effective tools to cope with stress, grief, and loss, and to make healthy behavioral changes. Works in partnership with physicians, other health practitioners and administrative staff on care coordination and treatment planning and is the principle primary care team resource for all mental health matters. The position also collaborates with the other psychotherapists to implement and sustain best practices in the field of behavioral health. Job Description: EDUCATION: Master's: Degree in a Mental Health discipline CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR LMFT-Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR PSY-Psychologist of California TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years of recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Ability to assess the needs of the patient, provide high-quality integrative psychotherapy, and other evidence-based approaches as indicated. Candidate must have the desire and ability to work as an active member of an interdisciplinary practice team led by physicians. Required to have knowledge of the most recent Board of Behavioral Science requirements and adhere to them. Experience with Adult and Senior population preferred. This position will be on-site four (4) days a week, and remote one (1) day.
