We are seeking a Part‑Time Staff Accountant (20 hours/week) to support Covey’s financial operations and help ensure strong financial stewardship across the organization. About the Role The Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of Covey. Working closely with the CEO and our contracted accounting firm (Numbers for Nonprofits), this position supports accurate reporting, internal controls, and day‑to‑day accounting functions. This role balances independent work with collaboration across programs and administrative teams. What You’ll Do Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping and accounting tasks Support monthly financial reporting and bank reconciliations Manage accounts payable/receivable, credit cards, and online payments Support grant tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting Enter and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks Online Assist with audit preparation and documentation Provide backup support for payroll, benefits administration, and billing Maintain confidentiality and ensure secure handling of financial data Support program leadership and the CEO as needed What We’re Looking For Associate’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Familiarity with QuickBooks Online Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach Why Covey?
