Description Flexible hours - 25 hours per week We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in an outpatient surgical center. This position plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Center, including monthly close, budgeting, audits, and departmental reporting. The ideal candidate is a true team player who thrives in a professional healthcare environment and values accuracy, accountabliity, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Perform basic accounting functions to the monthly financial close, audits, and budgeting Prepare accurate monthly financial analyses Analyze financial results and investigate variances between actual performance and budget Provide clear and accurate explanations of financial variances to leadership and department managers Support departmental staff with reporting related to revenue, expenses, and statistical data Assist with special projects, operating budget preparation, and financial audits as needed Help maintain efficient day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department Consistently adhere to departmental standards for a professional office environment Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting OR Minimum 5 years of healthcare accounting experience Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment Experience in healthcare or ambulatory surgery center accounting is preferred Strong IT skills
