Description
SAIC is seeking part-time Air Traffic Control Specialists to provide Air Traffic training support to the FAA Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program office. The successful candidates will provide operational expertise to the TFDM program office and field facilities prior to and during system installation. You will facilitate activities and communications between the program various stakeholders and conduct instruction using validated Air Traffic training materials. When traveling, this role is onsite at multiple customer locations. Required Education and Qualifications: A BA/BS degree in an air traffic related field is required. An additional five years of experience may be substituted for the degree. 18 years or more experience. Knowledge of the 7110.65 and its application in the NA. Understanding of the FAA’s automation and traffic management system. Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Extensive knowledge of air traffic operations and procedures in the en route and terminal domains. Air Traffic Control (ATC) full performance level (FPL) experience or equivalent (e.g. military controller, contract tower, commercial dispatch operations, etc.) in the terminal environment. Extensive knowledge of air traffic operations and procedures in the en route and terminal domains. Knowledge of TFDM functionality. Experience with the design, development and installation of NAS air traffic modernization projects. Experience providing support and communications at operational field facilities during system deployment. Ability to communicate with various organizations within the FAA, including AJM, AJV, AJT, ANG, and NATCA. Ability and willingness to travel. Willing to work part-time schedule (2 weeks on, 1 week off); Some work may occur on the weekend. Required Clearance & Background: US Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust. FAA customer approval of resume.
