Description Part Time DishwasherAssisted Living Bishop Gadsden, located on James Island and affiliated with the Episcopal Church, is known as the Southeast's leading life care retirement community. We are located just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston! The purpose of our Dishwasher position is to complete tasks related to the cleaning of equipment and dishes used during food services. Our Utility team members keep floors, counters, walls, dish room, and service area immaculately clean and in order. A Typical Day: Clean and put away all dishes and pans in an efficient and safe manner Remove trash to dumpster, replace trash can liners as necessary and break down boxes Check and record temperatures as needed to successfully complete required duties Assist with proper and sanitary food storage at close of meal service Work independently with proper direction Check and record temperatures as needed to successfully complete required duties Assist with proper and sanitary food storage at close of meal service Perform simple food preparation tasks Requirements What We Look For In A Candidate: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to work in a high volume environment with little or no supervision Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to stand, lift, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Interpersonal skills are necessary for exchanging information as well as maintaining a courteous relationship with the residents, families, visitors and team members.
