Description The Position: As an Event Cook/Chef for Fireside Catering you will assist or lead in the preparation, cooking and plating of delicious meals for a wide variety of events with unique menus. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a creative mindset, and excellent attention to detail. Part-time hours available in a fun and fast-paced environment. This is an hourly position. Opportunities for growth Responsibilities: Work as a team with other kitchen staff members efficiently and effectively Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of all food items Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, including knives, cutting boards, and food processors Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly Requirements: Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Experience in a professional kitchen Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Take pride in your job – We use ingredients from our own farm, The Farm at Gibbet Hill and many local vendors.
