Job Details Job Location: Cleveland St - Greenville, SC 29607 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Admin - Clerical Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm NATURE OF WORK Under supervision of the Compliance Manager, provides drug screen collection services for The Phoenix Center. No supervisory requirements. JOB DUTIES: Completes collection of all drug screens for clients and non-client referrals which include urine, oral, breathalyzer and hair specimens. Protects the identity and confidentially of all drug screens. Accurately completes requisition paperwork for the laboratory, which includes correct spelling of the client name and other identifying information. Follows procedures for labeling, sealing of specimen, and secures it in a locked area. Follows the agency safety and universal precautions for disease prevention. Prints and distributes drug test results to appropriate staff. Maintains and organizes the drug screening room including ordering supplies when needed. Prepares billing report for drug screen accounts. Distributes drug test results via fax or encrypted email to referral source upon request. Assists with scanning and attaching documents to the electronic health record in a timely manner. Performs client data computer input as assigned. Actively support a trauma informed and responsive work environment as demonstrated in the 5 core values of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. Actively supports ERI values of acknowledgment, commitment, openness, celebration, and humility. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of business English, appropriate terminology, spelling, and general math. Ability to communicate well with clients and use discretion in decision making. Ability to follow Drug Screen Policy/Procedures. Competency in accurate collection and documentation of drug test. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Knowledge of confidentiality guidelines. HS diploma or equivalent required. Prior drug screening experience and/or working in a medical lab or environment patient care or a combination of similar training and experience is highly desired. May be required to work varying hours as needed.
Responsibilities
The Lab Technician is responsible for collecting drug screens and maintaining confidentiality. They also manage the drug screening room and assist with documentation and billing.
