Overview Superior Veterinary Care, a CareVet partner, has an exciting part time or full time opportunity to join our small animal practice in Lincoln, NE! This position offers a six figure salary plus production (no negative accrual), a generous signing bonus package, schedule flexibility, access to our DVM vacation plan and more. About the Position Superior Veterinary Care is looking for a compassionate Veterinarian to help grow our thriving practice! All candidates will be considered, and the ideal candidate will be collaborative, personable and able to share the surgical caseload. We are open a half day on Saturday. About the Hospital The incoming Veterinarian will enjoy working in our hospital with well quipped surgical suite, our on-site digital x-ray equipment, anesthesia, dental equipment, and pharmacy. Our full-service hospital offers comprehensive services including cat and dog care, diagnostic services, urgent care and hospice care. Responsibilities Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems Treat and dress wounds Perform surgery on animals Test for and vaccinate against diseases Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments Prescribe medication Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal Strong fondness and understanding of animals Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of animal behavior Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals How to Apply To learn more about positions available, please contact Stephanie Cooper at (303) 552-8143, or by email at scooper@carevethealth.com.
