Description Position Information: The full time Parts Driver delivers parts and equipment to customers and vendors. This position interacts with the Parts Manager, Parts Sales, and customers/vendors daily. Areas of Emphasis: Exemplify the All Things Automotive Core Values: Trustworthy, Respectful, Helpful, Stewardly, and being Committed to Excellence Understand the All Things Automotive Core Focus of “To create automotive relationships through convenience, value and education” Learn, Understand, and incorporate the Thomas philosophy of doing business into all daily activities related to customer and coworker relationship management Be a great team member Successfully Maintain the following accountabilities Safely transport vehicles Verify condition of inventory Verify and deliver paperwork Report any issues to supervisor Duties and Responsibilities: Greet every customer, every day Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors Put safety first. Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standards Pick up parts and equipment from customers and vendors, to be coordinated with the Parts Manager, Parts Sales Consultant, and Parts Counter people Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendors Complete a log at the time of delivery and request recipient's signature Unload truck at the end of shift. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts Be responsible for the basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle: check oil with each fill-up and ensure vehicle is in good working order Follow all Company safety policies and practices and immediately report any and all accidents to Manager and Human Resources Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards Requirements Qualifications: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Valid driver's license in state of residence and a good driving record. Ability to use computer and calculator. Will be trained on parts department's computer inventory system. Ability to drive safely. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts. Professional personal appearance. Working Conditions: This is a physically demanding position. The Parts Driver will load, unload and drive company provided delivery vehicles each shift lifting parts weighting 75 pounds several times a day and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Will be required to wear a dealership uniform at all times.
