QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects (50 lbs) as needed
  • Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
  • Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Report for work punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Placing tables, chairs, risers etc. per meeting specifications, or diagram layout. Placing meeting condiments (pads, pens, mints, water) on tables.
  • Setting up water stations, or buffets with linen and skirting. Breakdown of all the same.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop of convention rooms, open and close air walls as needed to accommodate client room needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets up banquet room as instructed by supervisor, including linen, service-ware, and glassware
  • Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware, utensils, and glassware to stock the dining areas and set tables
  • Removes dishes as guests complete each course and/or at the end of the meal or function
  • Resets banquet room after an event according to supervisor’s direction
  • Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
  • Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
  • Serves food and/or beverages is required area
