The team: The Hitachi Digital (HD) Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Accounts Payable team provides post-procurement services supporting Digital Infrastructure (DI), Digital Services (DS), and GlobalLogic businesses. The team is responsible for end-to-end Accounts Payable operations and is globally distributed across multiple locations. Currently comprising approximately 70 professionals, the team is led by the Service Delivery Senior Director based in Poland. Our scope covers all key AP processes, including (but not limited to) vendor master and vendor relationship management, invoice processing, vendor payments, employee reimbursements, onsite travel expenses, process harmonization and standardization, month-end close activities, and audit support. The Role: This role supports Accounts Payable operations by ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, vendor management, employee reimbursements, and payment execution. The role will support audit requirements and month end closing activities while ensuring adherence to company policies, internal controls, and compliance standards. The role reports to the AP Manager. Key Responsibilities: Process PO and Non-PO invoices with accuracy and within defined SLAs Perform 2-way / 3-way matching and resolve price and quantity mismatches Manage vendor master data requests including creation, modification, and validation checks Handle vendor queries and maintain effective stakeholder communication Review and process employee expense reimbursements in line with company policy Execute payment runs (domestic & international) and validate payment proposals Perform vendor statement reconciliations and follow up on open items Monitor GR/IR aging and coordinate with procurement/business teams for resolution Post and reconcile AP related journal entries and accruals during month-end close Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements Assist in internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation Maintain proper documentation and adherence to SOPs and internal controls What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related discipline; MBA (Finance/Operations) preferred 4–5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable operations Strong understanding of invoice processing, reimbursements, vendor management, and payments Experience in month-end close activities and audit support Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Coupa Good working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting principles Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global, process-driven environment Outcome-focused approach with good analytical and problem-solving skills Fluent in English; additional European language skills are a plus About us We’re a global, 1000-strong, diverse team of professional experts, promoting and delivering Social Innovation through our One Hitachi initiative (OT x IT x Product) and working on projects that have a real-world impact.
