Description

Daniel Owen Agency are currently recruiting for a junior PTS Survey Technician to join a well-established team based in West Kingsdown, Kent. The role will involve frequent travelling, so a clean UK driving licence is essential. This opportunity is ideal for a junior to mid-level candidate, as the client is happy to offer training and upskilling for the right person.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Experience with 3D Laser Scanning / Point Cloud Processing (preferable).
  • Valid PTS certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CSCS certification.
  • Cat & Genny Operator certification (preferable).
  • PASMA User certification (preferable).
  • IPAF User certification (preferable).
  • Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD to produce survey drawings and schematics (beneficial).
  • Electrical qualification (beneficial).
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and working outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Basic understanding of surveying principles; experience with total stations, GPS, or other survey instruments is desirable.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the role - training will be provided.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct mechanical, electrical, and civils site surveys, including coring, testing, scanning, and CCTV drainage inspections.

  • Undertake installation works and ensure accurate survey reporting in line with legislation and company procedures.

  • Assist with electrical installation testing and commissioning for rail projects.
  • Collaborate with the survey team to maintain technical standards and support project deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with mechanical, electrical, civils, and railway standards and legislation.
  • Prepare and deliver survey schedules within tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Support health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance, as well as assist with audits and other company requirements.
