The NSW Reconstruction Authority is seeking a highly motivated Public Affairs Advisor to join our Communications and Engagement team. In this key role, you will provide expert media management and public affairs advice to stakeholders within the Authority, delivering strategic communications that enhance the reputation of both the NSW Reconstruction Authority and the NSW Government.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is seeking a highly motivated Public Affairs Advisor to join our Communications and Engagement team. In this key role, you will provide expert media management and public affairs advice to stakeholders, helping to maintain and enhance the reputation of the RA and the NSW Government.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of media strategies and policies.
  • Preparing media and social media materials that address key issues and promote the Authority’s work.
  • Assisting with government announcements, speeches, and briefings.
  • Creating and delivering digital content across various channels to engage the public.
  • Supporting public awareness and safety campaigns that educate and inform communities.
  • Coordinating media events, launches, and public relations campaigns.
  • Advising staff on media engagement in line with organisational policies.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and analysing content performance to enhance future communication efforts.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
