We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Public Affairs Office: Major Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Public Affairs or his/her nominee(s), the appointee will be responsible for supporting the Public Affairs Office mainly for the following: Design and produce a range of visual and multimedia assets for social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Xiaohongshu), digital marketing initiatives and online platforms, including but not limited to: o Short video (shooting, production and editing), social media visuals, illustrations, motion posters, motion graphics, animated ads (GIF & HTML5) and banners to support social media engagement, branding, digital marketing/online advertising and website content; o Create mockups to visualise creative concepts; o Design and produce simple landing pages for promotional campaigns; and o Produce EDM and printed materials. Brainstorm, develop and create innovative visual content with different teams within the Office that aligns with brand positioning and marketing strategies, reflecting the University’s image and values; Continuously monitor trends in social media visuals and video content, and constantly optimise presentation formats and design language to elevate the overall visual quality of brand and digital marketing content; Support website management, including basic website design and maintenance tasks using WordPress; Support in event management; and Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Public Affairs or his/her nominee. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognised degree/higher diploma in Multimedia design, Graphic Design, Creative Media, Visual Arts, Advertising or a related discipline; At least 3 years of relevant experience in graphic/multimedia design; Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects), motion graphics, DaVinci Resolve, Canva or Capcut/剪映 with strong image creation, design and video editing skills; A solid visual foundation and strong aesthetic sense, with a mature understanding of composition, dynamic rhythm, information hierarchy, and social media content formats; Knowledge in HTML, CSS, video shooting, and illustration, and familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools and workflows would be an advantage; Creative, self-motivated, open-minded, attentive to details, and possessing good PR sense; Passionate in visual storytelling through creating aesthetic and on-brand content; Familiarity with social media platforms and passion for the latest trends and digital content creation; A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines while collaborating effectively within a team; Flexible and willing to work outside office hours when required; Web Knowledge: Hands-on experience with WordPress for basic website management; and A portfolio (PDF/doc/link) must be included in the application.
