Be a part of the exciting change and choose Muskoka Bay Resort as your employer of choice!   Position Summary Public Area Cleaners are responsible for cleaning public areas to resort standards and assisting the room attendants keep linen closets stocked. Public Area Cleaners need to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.   Duties & Responsibilities  * Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common spaces * Perform commercial cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces * Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed * Restock supplies in restrooms and public areas * Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department * Follow established safety protocols and procedures * Ensure all guests requests are delivered and executed to the guests’ standards * Responsible for providing a stained linen count weekly * Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the linen’s closets * Ensure linen closets are fully always stocked with linens and supplies * Responsible for the dirty linen and garbage to be brought down for pick up at end of day * Responsible for all other duties as assigned Skills, AbilitIes, attributes * Attention to detail and ability to work independently * Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently * Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors * Be able to be on your feet for a full shift, up to 8 hours or more * Be able to move up and down the stairs * Be flexible with their schedule, working weekends as needed and evenings (approx. 4:00 pm- midnight) * Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push up to 50lbs * Be able to twist, bend, and reach while working at a fast pace EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Experience in commercial cleaning preferred * Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment OUr commitment to you * We will provide you with a supportive, communication driven workplace. * Provide a company culture that promotes diversity, inclusion, and equity. * Empower you to make decisions and solve problems. * Competitive compensation package that will be commensurate with experience. * Complimentary amenity access to all Resorts within Freed Hotels & Resorts Portfolio (Muskoka Bay, Horseshoe Resort, Deerhurst Resort), discounted F&B, lodging, events and more.
