As our Public Area Cleaner, you should be reliable and committed, with excellent personal presentation. Exceptional attention to detail, a passion for providing excellent customer service, and the ability to work under pressure is also required.
As a busy hotel and under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager you will need an eye of detail and work under your own initiative to ensure that public areas are cleaned to the highest of standards required and always presentable for our guest’s arrival. You are the key to ensuring that the hotel is always ready to welcome its new guests.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the hotel’s public areas (internal & external), function rooms, offices and specified back of house areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
  • Work as part of a team that maximises guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to all guest requests.
  • Take responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with your immediate report, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained.
  • Carry out cleaning duties with as little inconvenience to guests as possible.
  • Pay special attention to the daily cleaning of lobby, bar, restaurant, lifts, guest toilets and the main staircase.
  • Report all maintenance faults as soon as located to either the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor.
  • Be responsible for all cleaning equipment ensuring that it is used, cleaned and maintained correctly.
  • Ensure that weekly and monthly cleaning scheduled are adhered to. Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks as instructed.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented.
