Overview The main purpose of the job is to support and supervise the Public Area Attendants to maintain a safe and clean environment. The key role would be to maintain employee relations, schedule and monitor work. Reporting to the Public Area Manager, the Public Area Supervisor will assign tasks that give direction to Public Area Attendants to clean areas within the casino. Responsibilities Schedule appropriate workers as business demands require. Enter and maintain a record of time and attendance. Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person. Ensure cleaning area and space are clean and tidy at all times and that cleaning materials are safely stored. Be familiar with the required care standards regulations governing your job. Maintain polite and good communication with your colleagues and customers at all times. Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required by the casino. Turn in all lost and found items. Coaching/counselling and performance management Ordering of supplies Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials. To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace. All other duties as assigned Qualifications Customer Service Skills. Computer skills are a must Ability to work calmly under pressure. Should have demonstrated supervisor experience, preferably in a related environment. Must have excellent communication skills Multi-tasking is required – candidate must be extremely organized Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours/day. Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not necessary. The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
