Job Summary: As a Public Finance Intern, you will be instrumental in providing support through data research and input for Official Statements, rating presentations, pitchbooks, and continuing disclosure filings. The Public Finance Intern may also build debt profiles for school district, community college and other municipal clients. Working in a team environment, the Public Finance Intern will learn about the municipal bond issuance process and the role of a municipal advisor. Duties/Responsibilities: Consistently demonstrates exceptional internal and external service with clients, demonstrating core values of integrity, commitment and performance. Observe regulatory rules and comply with department procedures. Gather financial data from clients and taxing authorities related to demographics, tax levies, operating and capital budgets, fund balances, etc. Organize information into tables and charts for inclusion in official statements and continuing disclosure filings. Prepare summary of annual continuing disclosure filing requirements and review filing history for clients. Review and edit data tables for accuracy. Works directly with public finance analysts, advisors and other staff to support municipal issuers. Assist with preparation of responses to request for proposals and presentations. Administrative duties such as mailing, billing, etc. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Education and Experience: Associates degree or two years of education from a four-year college or university with coursework in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to take initiative and willingness to go the extra mile for our clients Attention to detail. Ability to prioritize work with many conflicting deadlines Ability to work well under pressure Ability to collaborate and problem solve with both technology and business team members. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
