Key Requirements
Bury Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Health Practitioner/Nurse (Health Protection) to join our Public Health team. This is a vital role in protecting the health and wellbeing of Bury residents by providing expert infection prevention and control (IPC) and health protection advice and supporting the management of communicable diseases across a range of settings.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary Health Protection Team, supporting the Head of Health Protection and Consultant in Public Health in delivering a wide range of health protection activities. This includes IPC audits, outbreak response, surveillance, training, and developing local policies and procedures.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
