JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Public Health Specialist leads specialized projects and initiatives aimed at addressing complex public health issues .- which includes but is not limited to: having a deep understanding of public health policies, epidemiological research, crisis management .- to provide insights for JHAH and Network Providers’ Higher Management’s decision.-making process.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or related health sciences; Master’s Degree preferred

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Public Health

Responsibilities

OPERATIONAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees large scale public health operations in JHAH and Network providers including but not limited to vaccination program outbreak management or emergency response
  • Assist with analyzing health trends disease outbreaks and risk factors affecting public health and
  • Propose corrective action or intervention to prevent or alleviate public health issues based on epidemiological findings
  • Guides operational team members in executing public health initiatives including but not limited to elimination programs TB program and HIV program
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior public health staff ensuring they have the knowledgecompetencies and tools necessary to implement public health initiatives
  • Develop data dictionary for disease registries in collaboration with all involved healthcare departments
  • Develop health assessment programs for Saudi Aramco including but not limited to Schools community services and environmental protection by coordinating and integrating the available resources to improve companys community health
  • Assist with conducting advanced epidemiological research studies including but not limited to disease surveillance outbreak management and intervention studies
  • Communicate instructions received by MOH Circulars with involved departments to ensure their compliance
