Serves as Community Relations Advisor, traveling and speaking on behalf of the Secretary and the Department to communicate the Department’s position on all state-wide policies and related matters.  Plans, organizes, executes, controls and evaluates the Department’s statewide public affairs and community outreach programs including, but not necessarily limited to, Financial Literacy and Mortgage Awareness. Reviews legislation to determine the need for new policies. Conducts research, gathering information from a variety of sources, including Illinois and neighboring states, on a variety of programs in order to analyze the delivery of services and to integrate best business practices into the Department’s program areas and for use by the Secretary, Directors and other Department personnel. Employment Conditions The ability to travel: Must be able to travel for work-related assignments as needed. Overtime: Must be available to work evenings and weekends when required.
