Responsibilities

We are looking for a friendly, proactive and motivated PR Coordinator to join our Communications team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who is eager to kickstart their career in public relations, supporting our Senior Press Officer with day-to-day PR operations and reporting to our Head of PR. This is an amazing opportunity for a creative individual to learn fast, and gain insight into various teams from across the business from Brand to Social and more.
There’ll be plenty for you to get stuck into with the chance to have a real impact on the PR programme. The role will involve coming up with fun and creative PR ideas, executing admin tasks, and getting involved in every single step of the PR campaign process from pitching to reporting. A keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and comfort with data analysis are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PR Admin Support: Assist the Senior Press Officer with day-to-day admin such as organising media lists, logging press coverage, and deal research.
  • Pitching Support: Help with drafting and selling-in pitches, updating the team media list, and liaising with journalists and influencers.
  • Media Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor press coverage and assist with compiling weekly/monthly reports on PR performance, coverage, and brand mentions.
  • Data Analysis: Work with in-house and survey data to create reports; analyse PR campaign performance, website traffic other key metrics; analyse media trends and consumer data to support campaigns.
  • Press Materials: Assist in drafting press releases, media alerts, blog posts and other PR materials.
  • Liaising with our PR agency: Build a relationship with the team and review content to ensure successful execution of campaigns.
  • Industry Research: Keep up to date with industry trends, competitors’ activities, and the latest PR techniques.
  • Idea Generation: Brainstorming and planning new and engaging press campaigns.
  • Wider Campaign Support: Broader marketing/campaign support across brand and shopping campaigns.

What we need from you (Skills and Qualifications:)

  • Exceptional organisation and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and preferably G Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good numerical and analytical skills (comfortable working with data and creating detailed reports)
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to collaborate
  • A creative and proactive approach to problem solving and content
  • Good commercial instincts and decision making skills
  • Recent graduate with a degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field or relative experience commensurate to a bachelor’s degree
  • A passion for media, public relations, and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools and databases is a plus
  • Experience or understanding of Social and Influencer content is also a plus
