An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as PR Executive working in Leeds as part of our Marketing team.

Salary: Competitive Salary + excellent benefits package

At DUSK HQ, we're looking for a PR Executive to join our growing team and play a key role in our in-house press office, managing day-to-day journalist relationships and identifying opportunities that generate high-quality coverage and strengthen DUSK's brand presence.

Working across product launches, seasonal campaigns and always-on press activity, you'll collaborate with teams across the business to maximise PR opportunities and secure high-quality media coverage that drives brand awareness and commercial impact.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the press office calendar
  • Draft, distribute and manage press releases, product alerts and media communications
  • Support the PR Manager on campaign launches and seasonal PR activity
  • Produce weekly and monthly PR coverage reports, highlighting key coverage, trends and performance
  • Monitor the news agenda and identify opportunities for reactive PR, newsjacking and trend-led storytelling
  • Conduct regular competitor and market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and media trends
  • Own and maintain the media database, ensuring journalist contacts are accurate, up to date and segmented effectively to maximise campaign performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, freelancers and media contacts
  • Manage media requests, product loans and sample fulfilment
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Buying, E-commerce, Creative and Marketing to maximise PR opportunities across the business
  • Support the creation of award submissions and industry recognition opportunities
  • Help develop creative PR ideas that strengthen brand awareness and reinforce DUSK's position as a leading homeware retailer
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of seasonal launch events and PR activations, supporting the PR Manager with on-the-ground delivery where required. Occasional travel will be required during peak periods

About You

  • 1-2 years' experience in a PR, communications or media relations role
  • Strong relationships with consumer, lifestyle, homes and national media, or the confidence to build them quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive, creative and commercially minded, with a passion for identifying newsworthy stories
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
