Job Description The Public Relations Manager, China, is responsible for building and managing Minor Hotels’ corporate reputation, media visibility, and brand authority in the China market. Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing & Communications, this role supports the Group’s positioning as a leading international multi-brand hospitality platform, strengthening industry credibility, consumer confidence, and market influence through structured PR strategy, brand partnerships, and media engagement. The role plays a key function in translating corporate strategy into consistent, high-quality storytelling and public exposure, supporting both brand equity and consumer brand growth. 1. China PR & Media Strategy Develop and execute a structured PR strategy aligned with China brand and communications objectives Drive sustained exposure across financial, business, real estate and hospitality media Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, journalists and industry platforms 2. Brand Storytelling Develop consistent corporate messaging, narratives and communication materials Support executive visibility through interviews, forums and thought leadership 3. Media Events & Engagement Plan and execute media events and press conferences Organize quarterly media roundtables / media tables to strengthen ongoing engagement Manage media participation in key brand milestones and campaigns 4. Media Partnerships Identify and develop strategic media partnerships that enhance visibility and cultural relevance Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure partnerships support brand positioning and commercial objectives 5. Awards & Industry Recognition Strategy Develop and manage a comprehensive annual awards plan Lead participation in key industry rankings, innovation awards and sustainability programs Leverage awards as proof points to strengthen brand authority and consumer trust 6. Case Study & Industry Communication Develop in-depth case studies highlighting repositioning success, asset value enhancement and performance outcomes Support B2B communication and development efforts with data-backed storytelling 7. Reputation & Crisis Communication Support corporate communications and crisis management frameworks aligned with global standards Monitor media coverage and provide insightful reporting on brand sentiment and performance Qualifications 5–8+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications, preferably in hospitality, real estate or luxury sectors Strong network across China media landscape, including travel, lifestyle, financial and trade media Proven experience in media relations, brand storytelling and PR campaign execution Experience in brand partnerships, media events and awards management Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Strong stakeholder management capability Strong strategic storytelling and narrative capability High level of professionalism and media sensitivity Detail-oriented with strong execution discipline Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to perform in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment Company Location: Minor Hotels Corporate
