Eligibility to Interview To participate in the interview event, candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the role listed below: Armed Public Safety Officer – Minimum Requirements: Two (2) consecutive years of armed security, military, or law enforcement experience within the last 7 years Must meet one of the following: Possess(ed) a P.O.S.T. certification, OR Be registered through the military (DD214 or current Military ID) – All active, reserve, retired, or honorably discharged personnel qualify, OR Hold a federal, state, or local firearms license/certification (e.g., Department of Homeland Security, NASA, NRA, GBI, Secretary of State) Must successfully complete the Basic Security Officer and Firearms Course (mandated by the Secretary of State) within 3 months post-hire Must complete training to carry non-lethal weapons (Taser and/or baton) within 3 months post-hire Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license and have a clean driving record Must be able to operate a company vehicle Must pass a psychological exam Must obtain the following within 12 months of hire: IAHSS Basic Certification BLS Certification Must complete FEMA IS 100, 200, 700 & 800 within 6 months of hire Become part of a team that values service, safety, and excellence in every interaction.
