Hurley Medical Center Department of Public Safety serves the community by preparing for, protecting against and responding to a broad range of emergencies that could impact our people, operations and environment. HMC-DPS serves the Hurley Medical Center and surrounding community; protecting the health and well being of all: staff, patients, families and visitors. DPS protect the assets and preserve the best interests of the Medical Center. All job duties and responsibilities are preformed in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior. Works under the supervision of a Public Safety Supervisor or designee who reviews and inspects work for conformance to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Public Safety Officers serve the community by preparing for, protecting against, and responding to emergencies impacting the medical center's people, operations, and environment. Duties include protecting the health and well-being of staff, patients, and visitors while preserving the Medical Center's assets.
