PUBLIC SAFETY SECRETARY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of Public Safety Secretary. This is a regular full-time position that will begin immediately. Reporting to the Coordinator of Public Safety Fire/Hazmat Training, Facility, and Campus Life Safety Systems, the Public Safety Secretary will provide secretarial support for the Fire/Hazmat Division under Workforce Development assigned by the Coordinator of Public Safety Fire/Hazmat Training, Facility, and Campus Life Safety Systems and/or Dean of Workforce Development. Process student registrations for all Fire/Rescue/County Fire Schools and Public Safety Training Facility courses. Enter registration data into computer on a timely basis. Process customer payment; record instructor hours; provide support by monitoring level of registration in all classes, prepare certificates for classes, enter grades, notify students whose classes have been cancelled or changed; and provide general office support. Associates degree from an accredited institution in Office Administration or related field preferred. A combination of experience and graduation from high school or equivalent is required. Typing, ability to use Microsoft Office Software, and recent secretarial experience preferred. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
