CONCHO VALLEY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS CRIMINAL JUSTICE/HOMELAND SECURITY NOTICE OF JOB OPENING Public Safety Specialist PUBLIC SAFETY SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS: * Must possess a Valid Driver’s License * Bachelor's Degree from four-year accredited college with major coursework in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice or Public Administration and one year of experience OR * Two years’ experience in emergency management operations; * Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. * Must be able to pass background check Provides assistance and coordination relating to the Concho Valley Regional Law Enforcement Academy, State Homeland Security Program, and Criminal Justice Program. Provides assistance with administration, planning, tracking, and overall coordination of these programs alongside the Criminal Justice Instructor, Homeland Security/Criminal Justice Planner, and Director of Public Safety. STATUS AND PAY: Full-Time Position Hourly: $21.00

Responsibilities

The Public Safety Specialist provides administrative and coordination support for the regional law enforcement academy, homeland security, and criminal justice programs. They work closely with department leadership to assist in the planning, tracking, and overall management of these public safety initiatives.
