    Physical Skills and Working Conditions:
    This position requires keyboarding, handling of books & materials, pushing/pulling trucks, physical set up of programs, packing and unpacking boxes, working at services points and dealing with difficult customer behaviour.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

  1. High School Diploma plus 1 year of relevant work experience.
  2. Knowledge and experience working with diverse communities.
  3. A Criminal Record Check with a vulnerable sector search is required.
  4. CPR/First Aid certification is required.
Responsibilities
  1. Provides pro-active circulation, information and customer service to Library customers.
  2. Responds to all customer requests in person, phone or email.
  3. Provide excellent customer service at service points.
  4. May assist with planning and the delivery of library programs.
  5. Assists with recommendations to enhance the library collection and program maintenance.
  6. May assist with displays.
  7. May assist with holds procedure.
  8. Other duties or special projects as assigned.
  9. Performs their job duties through the lens of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and acts as an ambassador of the Library at all times.
  10. This position requires you to take every reasonable precaution to protect the health and safety of yourself and others.
