EDUCATION

  • Advanced academic background in theological and Biblical studies, preferred Advanced academic background in theological and Biblical studies, preferred Master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited institution Master’s degree (six to seven year program) or equivalent, (i.e. MA, MBA, MSW, CPA)

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience providing reference/instructional services in an academic setting, two to three years related experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to develop and provide reference and instructional services in an academic setting
  • Ability to use technology effectively in public services and instruction
  • Able to articulate departmental goals aligning with the institutional vision and mission
  • Able to motivate, inspire and mentor others
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

The Public Services Librarian manages, promotes and delivers library services to the Tyndale University community by providing a full range of information services, including reference, instruction, and access to information and research resources.
