Description

Summary: Keeps all public facilities in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the site to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Cleans interior of buildings, outside site spaces and restrooms. * Empties ashtrays and urns. * Cut wood and keep fires going on site * Polishes furniture and fixtures. * Keeps the front of the building and site free from trash. * Washes walls and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture. * Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors. * Dust and polishes metal work. * To perform daily assigned tasks in toilets, buildings, trash, sites, etc. * To clean and maintain all equipment daily. * To follow up a special cleaning program * To report maintenance issues to supervisor immediately. * To assist Guest in Public Areas when required. * To have good knowledge of all facilities, hours of operation, Restaurants, shops and function rooms. * Post caution signs as and when required. * Responsible to follow departmental policies and procedures. * Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment which he is using i.e., Vacuum cleaner, trolleys, Scrubbing machine. * Responsible for maintaining a time schedule for cleaning of their areas. * Responsible for spring/winter cleaning of their area as per the schedule is given to them. * Any other duties as assigned by management. Physical Requirements & Work Environment: * Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat. * Prolonged periods of standing. * Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times. * Must be able to swing an ax and cut wood * Ability to communicate in English to our associates and guests. * Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. * Ability to work in an unheated building. * Willing to live in a remote, rural community * Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting * Able to walk and/or drive on gravel roads in inclement weather * In Season, the hours can be extended. Icy Strait Point is a Native-owned and operated enterprise and offers Native Preference under P.O. 93-638.

Responsibilities

Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of all public facilities, including interiors, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. Provides guest assistance and ensures all equipment is properly maintained and operated.
