SUMMARY

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration in Imbalance Market Coordination (TORI) organization in Real Time Operations (TOR), System Operations (TO), Transmission Services (T).
A successful candidate in the Public Utilities Specialist (EIM Entity Scheduling Coordinator) position is responsible for the real-time efficient and reliable participation of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) in the Western Energy Imbalance Market under normal and abnormal system conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate’s online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [enter grade] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) providing guidance pertaining to scheduling matters to ensure system reliability and/or 2) functioning as the technical resource contact for scheduling or operational processes and procedures and/or 3) reviewing planned transmission and/or generation outages for current and next day timeframes to ensure accurate data is available.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
