Undergoing extensive renovations, The Esplanade at Brighton is set to become South Australia’s flagship hospitality destination, a premium beachfront venue encompassing accommodation, multiple bars, a high-quality bistro offering, and state-of-the-art gaming facilities. Designed to deliver an elevated yet authentic pub experience, this venue will set a new benchmark for coastal hospitality in SA. We're not just looking for a Venue Manager, we're on the hunt for a REAL Publican to lead the team at The Esplanade - someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and brings locals together by creating pub experiences they love. This isn't a maintenance role; it is a build, shape, and lead opportunity. The successful candidate will be onboarded before reopening and will play a pivotal role in the planning, team building, operational setup, execution of the grand opening and beyond, establishing The Esplanade as the premier coastal destination in the state. You will be hands-on, visible, and deeply embedded in the day-to-day operation while maintaining strategic oversight of performance, culture, and growth. You know the locals by name, they reckon you’re one of their own, all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L. You run the place like it’s your own modern-day home, keeping things safe, smooth, and compliant. You're the pillar of the local community and the driving force behind a high-performing team. You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke. You bring the vibe, the service, and the smiles – every shift, every day. Inherent requirements: This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries).
