Located in Thornlie, The Lakers Tavern is a long-standing community pillar known for its "old school" charm and updated bistro. From succulent steaks and local produce to ice-cold beers in our sun-drenched beer garden, we offer a versatile space for everything from family milestones to quiet post-work drinks. As a local favorite in Perth’s southeast, we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming atmosphere where quality service and classic pub fare meet. A day in the life of a Publican: You know the locals by name, they reckon you’re one of their own, all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L. You run the place like it’s your own modern-day home, keeping things safe, smooth, and compliant. You're the pillar of the local community and the driving force behind a high-performing team. You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke. You bring the vibe, the service, and the smiles – every shift, every day. Inherent requirements: This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently. About you: You already know if this is for you.
