JOB SUMMARY:

We are the leading publisher of casebooks, study aids and bar prep content. We publish products under the BARBRI, West Academic, and Foundation Press imprints. We are a growth-oriented organization dedicated to providing our current and prospective customers with the best available legal education materials.
The publishing specialist will be part of a team responsible for digital content production, monitoring and maintenance as well as the distribution of our content in electronic formats and across e-platforms, including both proprietary and other publishing systems, for law school textbooks, study aids, and bar review products.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

REQUIRED ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication, including composition/grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively hold to a deadline.
  • Ability to prioritize and stay focused while dealing with multiple assignments and tasks.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to increasingly complex and changing work in an agile environment.
  • Ability to work with team members, contacts from other teams, departments, virtual and off-site teams/vendors, or sourcing partners effectively.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude for computer applications and systems such as word processing, data entry, and content publishing applications.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro a plus.
  • Familiarity with U.S. legal system and legal educational publications a plus.
