ABOUT US:

Northern Pulmonary Diagnostics is a specialized respiratory diagnostics clinic dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care through advanced pulmonary testing and diagnostics. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Pulmonary Function Technologist. This position offers comprehensive on-the-job training with the expectation of pursuing Canadian Association of Cardiopulmonary Technologists (CACPT) certification.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in Kinesiology or Physiology OR
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Comfortable working directly with patients of all ages
  • Willingness to challenge the CACPT exam after 1 year of full-time employment
  • Commitment to self-led study and exam preparation outside of work hours

Responsibilities
  • Perform pulmonary function tests (spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, etc.)
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
  • Accurately record and document results in the EMR system
  • Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment
  • Collaborate with respirologists and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding respiratory testing and procedures
