Pulmonary Rehab Respiratory Therapist Full Time Days Position Summary:
Provides overall coordination for the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program in addition to supervising, supporting and educating Pulmonary Rehabilitation participants. Has basic knowledge of nutrition, risk factor and behavior modification strategies for the pulmonary population and possesses knowledge of adult counseling techniques. Participates in the skilled, disciplined-specific evaluations and ongoing treatments (exercise training, education and psychosocial support) of the patient under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.
The Clinical Lead/Coordinator is the primary coach and mentor for the assigned program; the designee to proactively audit and inspect, and correct any noted areas of opportunity with regard to the clinical or financial performance of the unit. Responsible for coordination of safe, effective, individualized patient care using the components of the AACVPR guidelines for Pulmonary Rehab and adherence to facility and regulatory guidelines. Plans and implements the overall pulmonary rehab policies, procedures, and services in conjunction with the Director. Uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish objectives. Supports all activities according to policy and procedures, philosophy, goals, and mission statement of Hilton Head Hospital.
Pulmonary Rehab Respiratory Therapist Full Time Days Position Requirements:

EDUCATION:

  1. Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care required.
  2. Registered Respiratory Therapist required.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. A minimum of five (3) years of respiratory therapy experience required.
  2. A minimum of two (2) years experience in specialty preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  1. South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner’ License required.
  2. Current ACLS certification from American Heart Association certification only required.
  3. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification required.
  4. Clinical competencies as defined for assigned program preferred.
