OVERVIEW

SLS provides water, wastewater, and process chemicals for manufacturing Pulp and Paper prodcuts. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pulp and Paper Chemical Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the providing support to our pulp and paper Customers in Western Canada, ensuring that all products perfome as they are required. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, as well as experience in manufacturing and industrial environments.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a pulp and paper manufacturing is required
• Understanidng priniples of biological, chemical and engneering is required.
• Familiarity with chemical handling, packaging processes, and safety regulations is important.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are crucial for success in this role. • Bachelor’s Degree (required)

Willingness to travel:

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Leduc, AB
Expected start date: 2025-09-1

• Meet regulariliy with customers to discuss technical challanges
• Travel to site locations in Hinton, Whitecourt, Slave Lake, Meadow Lake, and Prince George area.
• Conduct chemical tests to ensure compliance with operational requirements.
