Description

SUMMARY:

The Assembler Technician works as part of a team to builds everything from small subassemblies to full electro-mechanical machines. Typical builds are one-five pieces at a time. The Assembler will be responsible for following technical instructions and reading blueprints to build pumps and mixers. The Assembler will also verify the correct quantities of components parts, quality check completed items, manage parts inventory and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:

  • 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly required.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Trade school or Vocational preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to use and maintenance overhead cranes and power tools.
  • Teamwork skills working with others on a job to complete a job.
  • To adapt when rotated to other jobs in the department.
  • Ability to identify any issues with the product.
Responsibilities
  • Keep the work area clean, organized and ready to always work efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts to complete tasks.
  • Assemble hydraulics assemblies using the appropriate wrenches, torques settings, and thread sealants where designated.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then build to those specifications.
  • Issue parts and time to work orders through time clock system.
  • Assist with packaging, receiving, and shipping as needed.
  • Remember and perform detailed assembly steps with accuracy.
  • Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
  • Perform final or secondary quality inspections and resolve any identified problems.
  • Learn other jobs in the department by rotating through all jobs.
  • Promote and maintain safety and open communication throughout the facility.
