Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Lake Vermont project located 19kms north of Dysart is offering a permanent position within their Open Cut Operations as a Pump Operator.
As our next Pump Operator reporting to the Mining Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results within a high-performance team.
This role will see you working a 12.5 hour dayshift only, 7/7 Roster (Wednesday - Tuesday).

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct assessment and inspections of dewatering pumps
  • Complete the welding and installation of HDPE pipelines
  • Complete accurately and timely service recording date on equipment
  • Complete basic effective maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation
  • Complete dewatering duties in active mining environments
  • Conduct work following safe workplace methods

Role Requirements as a Pump Operator at Lake Vermont: ·

  • Hold Dewatering competency and experience (desired)
  • Hold Chainsaw Ticket, Polywelding Ticket and experience in Polywelding (desired)
  • Have experience/qualifications for operation of D10/D11 dozers, excavator or front-end loader (desired)
  • Basic or intermediate rigging license (desired)
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Current Standard 1
