  • Ensure the correct handover of pupils when they arrive at their destinations.
  • Report any problems, incidents, or unusual occurrences at the first opportunity to the Pastoral Team.
  • Ensure that personal property in possession of the children is both safely secured and transported with the individual when necessary.
  • Maintain an accurate register of passengers being transported, confidentially managing information such as names, telephone numbers, and addresses, together with a record of attendance.
  • Accurately observe the timetables implemented by VASE Academy to ensure the punctual transportation of passengers.
  • Be able to work with children who may present challenging behaviour.
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations effectively.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of the bus when required.
  • Enforce conduct and safety rules on the bus.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle.
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils, helping them navigate their daily school activities and academic challenges.
  • Facilitate communication between pupils, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to education.
  • Support pupils during transitions between classes or activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
