About Us: Our Resource Management team is dedicated to financial planning, monitoring, processing, and procurement. We are committed to helping our organisation deliver its goals while ensuring that our colleagues are aligned with our processes to drive the best use of public money.
Your Role: We are looking for two dedicated individuals to join our Resourcing Team, supporting our purchase-to-pay function. In this role, you will work with suppliers across the UK and overseas, guiding them through the purchasing process and handling day-to-day enquiries through to payment. You will also collaborate with colleagues across the OPSS and DBT, including senior management, to ensure a seamless and efficient procurement process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide expert advice on purchase-to-pay processes and deliver training to business areas where non-compliance is identified.
  • Collaborate and lead the creation of low-value (under £10k) contracts, ensuring all aspects, including costs, are accurately captured.
  • Purchase and log products that OPSS intends to test under its enforcement remit.
  • Raise purchase orders and Accounts Receivable invoices in Oracle with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Respond promptly and helpfully to queries on a range of finance and commercial issues.
  • Compile OPSS data for information reporting.
  • Liaise with suppliers, business teams, DBT Commercial, UKSBS, and DBT Finance.
  • Make the best use of IT applications available to DBT and become an expert in financial applications such as Oracle.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by line management that are commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of the post.
