Description

We are looking for a Purchase & Logistics Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with UAE trade regulations while driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence across supply chain processes.”

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of UAE trade regulations, JAFZA, and Mainland customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in JAFZA Portal, Dubai Trade Portal, and e-clearance systems.
  • Experience in handling import/export documentation, HS Codes, and customs declarations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with proven ability to secure cost savings and favorable terms.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, suppliers, and logistics partners simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Hand on experience in Odoo will be an added advantage).
  • Analytical skills to prepare procurement cost analysis, vendor evaluations, and logistics KPIs.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, suppliers, and authorities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Knowledge of air, sea, and land freight forwarding processes.
  • Attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably within UAE free zones (JAFZA) and Mainland operations.
  • Certification in CIPS, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in import/export handling, customs clearance, and freight coordination.
  • UAE Driving License & own car will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Coordinate logistics operations to optimize efficiency and reliability.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across supply chain processes.
  • Manage import and export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping instructions.
  • Ensure customs compliance for both JAFZA and Mainland operations, adhering to UAE trade regulations and free zone requirements.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clearing agents to ensure smooth cargo movement.
  • Handle JAFZA portal transactions including online customs declarations, import/export clearances, and inter-zone transfers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure competitive terms and cost savings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock.
  • Track and analyze supply chain performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Arrange and monitor international shipments via air, sea, and land freight, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Resolve discrepancies in invoices, shipments, or customs clearance documentation.
  • Support management in preparing cost analysis, procurement reports, and logistics forecasts.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for audits and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure timely vendor payments and accurate landed cost calculations.
  • Stay updated with UAE import/export regulations, free zone policies, and customs tariff codes (HS Codes).
  • Implement best practices for sustainable procurement and logistics efficiency.
