QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Experience:

1+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, ideally in the FMCG industry or dealing with household items.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management systems and procurement tools.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and proactive thinking.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in procurement for FMCG products, especially household items.
  • Knowledge of supply chain logistics and inventory control.
  • Familiarity with supplier management and sourcing techniques.
  • Understanding of cost-saving strategies in procurement.

Responsibilities
  • Procurement Support:

Assist in the purchasing of raw materials, packaging, and finished products for household items, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.

  • Supplier Communication:

Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, negotiate prices, and handle order inquiries to ensure a smooth procurement process.

  • Order Management:

Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure goods are delivered on time and in full.

  • Inventory Control:

Monitor stock levels of household items, anticipate demand, and place orders to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.

  • Data Entry & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance in the system. Provide regular reports on procurement activities, stock levels, and trends.

  • Market Research:

Assist in researching new suppliers, materials, and products to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve product quality.

  • Invoice Management:

Review and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantities before processing payments.

  • Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure that all purchase activities are conducted according to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
