Description
Do you thrive on structure, enjoy working with details, and love keeping complex workflows on track? Join Abacus Medicine as a Purchase Coordinator and gain hands-on experience in international procurement, real responsibility from day one, and the support of a collaborative team to help you grow. Drive meaningful change As a Purchase Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our pharmaceutical supply chain running smoothly. You’ll be working closely with suppliers in Europe – especially in Germany and Austria – to ensure medicine reaches those who need it. You'll help manage supplier information, keep track of stock, and make sure everything from invoices to deliveries runs like clockwork. Expect a mix of administrative and coordination tasks that give you insight into how purchasing works at a European level. Your main responsibilities include: Processing and following up on supplier invoices Keeping our supplier database up to date with the latest information and pricing Handling inquiries from our warehouse about incoming deliveries Supporting our Purchase Area Managers with purchase orders and stock confirmations Helping onboard new suppliers with the right data and documents Coordinating product inconsistencies between suppliers and the supply chain team Assisting with price list analysis and target pricing Jumping in with ad-hoc tasks when needed – we’re a team, after all Your Profile We’re looking for someone eager to learn, organized, and proactive. You don’t need years of experience, just the right attitude and a genuine interest in supply chain or procurement. Additionally, we imagine that you: Have a Bachelor’s degree in a commercial field or relevant practical experience Feel comfortable working with Excel and other MS Office tools Speak and write English fluently Enjoy handling multiple tasks and staying on top of details Are curious, self-driven, and not afraid to ask questions or speak up when something doesn’t add up A willingness to travel occasionally for business meetings or trade fairs Be part of an international community of people who care You'll join our Purchase Settlement team – a closely bonded team led by Team Manager Cilje Johansen. Collaboration is key here. You’ll be working closely with people across Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality Assurance, as well as with our trusted pharma suppliers across Europe. We believe in learning by doing, asking for help when you need it, and celebrating wins together. We're more than just a workplace—we're a community shaping the future of healthcare access.
