We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant (Purchase Ledger) to join our busy Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is either looking to build a career in finance or already has some foundational experience and is ready to take the next step.

Responsibilities
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Cash book reconciliation
  • Assist updating P&L reports with reconciled data and month-end
  • Assist with accounts receivable, raising sales invoices, and outstanding payments
  • Process non-AP vouchers and file all supplier invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements and assist with resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare BACs payment runs and create beneficiaries in the banking system
  • Raise and process ad hoc non-AP payments
  • Perform cash book reconciliations
  • Raise ad hoc journals as required
  • Create and save monthly MME reports
  • Assist with timely and accurate month-end inputs
  • Manage and distribute incoming mail
  • Maintain the franking machine
  • Record and circulate daily cleared bank balances
  • Support the finance team with general reconciliation and account maintenance duties.
