New Payment Innovation is a fast growth Irish FinTech based at our HQ in Citywest, Dublin. We are seeking a Purchase Ledger / Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This is a key role that supports the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure our financial records are accurate and up to date, our customers are invoiced and pay on time, and our suppliers are paid promptly.
This position would suit a part-qualified accountant or an experienced assistant accountant who is ambitious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career while obtaining wide ranging experience across the finance function.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Accounts Payable function including managing inbox and preparing the weekly payment runs.
  • VAT Returns and associated reports (UK and ROI).
  • Processing of ad hoc sales invoices.
  • Month end close routines including balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining fixed asset register and booking journals.
  • Assist with monthly management accounts and year end audit.
  • Providing support to the CFO as required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to multitask, excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Experience using Sage Accounting / Business Cloud desirable.
  • Proficient in full Microsoft package, especially Excel.
