Here are Advanced Supply Chain we are looking to welcome a Purchase Ledger Clerk to lead our team of Purchase Ledger Assistants. You’ll be supporting and working alongside our experienced Financial Controller to supervise the reconciliation of supplier accounts daily and support the wider team with any occurring issues. This is a full-time permanent position working at our head office in Bradford, BD12 but will be trusted to work in a hybrid manner and in return we can offer a generous salary of between £30,000 - £34,000 depending on experience and a committed career development plan.
This position will entail the management and supervision of Purchase Ledger operations, with a focus on proposing process enhancements to boost efficiency, supporting management reporting, and addressing historical ledger discrepancies. Additionally, the role will include the responsibility of guiding and developing the team.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU AS OUR PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK:

  • Experience in a transactional ledger role
  • Experience of using various finance systems – Sage 200 & Documentation would be an advantage but not necessary
  • Computer literate, with a sound understanding of MS Office packages
  • Strong analytical understanding due to nature of the role
  • Flexible nature due to nature of the role

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the reconciliation of supplier accounts, ensuring payments are made on time and outstanding monies paid correctly
  • Help develop and adhere to procedures and processes for handling payments which may affect cashflow
  • Prepare and oversee the compilation and presentation of reports on to the Senior Management teams
  • Act as a contact point for resolving complex or escalation issues internally or externally
  • Alternate Bank reconciliations on a month on month off basis working alongside out Credit Control manager
  • Ownership of Rent, Rates, sundries, legal invoices (confidential) and any complex invoice processing
  • Recommend any changes necessary to help improve the company’s financial performance and financial controls
