THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
- Register and process purchase invoices accurately within the Dealer Management/Accounting System.
- Reconcile supplier statements prior to BACS payment runs.
- Monitor and manage the Purchase Ledger inbox, responding to queries promptly and professionally.
- Handle supplier calls and correspondence in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Process employee expenses for payment via BACS.
- Provide month-end administrative support to the Finance team.
- Update and maintain accounting databases, spreadsheets, and financial records.
- File purchase invoices and supplier statements accurately.
- Manage stationery and office supplies for the Finance team and assist with general office administration as required.
- Support the wider Accounts Department with additional accounting and administrative duties, contributing to the ongoing development of the Purchase Ledger function.
YOUR PROFILE.
- A proactive team player with excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Interest in accounts payable
- Good numerical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Have basic/intermediate knowledge of MS packages including Microsoft Excel
- Courteous, clear and professional communication style
- Able to handle tasks that may be repetitive in nature, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
SALARY AND HOURS.
- Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm with an hour unpaid for lunch (37.5 hours per week).
