THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:


  • Register and process purchase invoices accurately within the Dealer Management/Accounting System.
  • Reconcile supplier statements prior to BACS payment runs.
  • Monitor and manage the Purchase Ledger inbox, responding to queries promptly and professionally.
  • Handle supplier calls and correspondence in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Process employee expenses for payment via BACS.
  • Provide month-end administrative support to the Finance team.
  • Update and maintain accounting databases, spreadsheets, and financial records.
  • File purchase invoices and supplier statements accurately.
  • Manage stationery and office supplies for the Finance team and assist with general office administration as required.
  • Support the wider Accounts Department with additional accounting and administrative duties, contributing to the ongoing development of the Purchase Ledger function.

YOUR PROFILE.


  • A proactive team player with excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Interest in accounts payable
  • Good numerical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Have basic/intermediate knowledge of MS packages including Microsoft Excel
  • Courteous, clear and professional communication style
  • Able to handle tasks that may be repetitive in nature, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

SALARY AND HOURS.


  • Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm with an hour unpaid for lunch (37.5 hours per week).
  • The role is an office-based environment
